Graduates

"My eighth grader is leaving Synapse with confidence in himself, love in his heart, and the conviction that he can make our world a (much) better place. He's excited and ready for the next step."Synapse Parent
SYNAPSE GRADUATES ARE:
-
Innovative problem-solvers who are not afraid to take risks.
-
Ethical leaders with the courage to do what is right.
- Critical thinkers who are prepared to meet intellectual challenges.
- Thoughtful collaborators who strive to improve the community.
We work closely with families on high school placement beginning in seventh grade. In close partnership with our High School Search Consultant and with support from our Head of School, eighth graders articulate their passions, reflect upon their challenges, and hone a list of schools that are a match for their criteria. Synapse students enroll at a wide range of high schools throughout the Bay Area and beyond.

The High School Selection Process
Synapse eighth grade families receive guidance from Jim Eagen, our Head of School, Stephanie Seto, Head of Middle School, and Christine Southgate, a high school placement consultant provided by Synapse. Students meet with Christine to work on their application essays and to prepare for open houses, campus visits and interviews. Parents meet with Christine, Stephanie, and Jim to finalize school lists and any questions they may have about finding the right fit school for their eighth grader.
